        I’m not a climate scientist Neocon1 I don’t have the savvy scientifically to say one way or the other about climate change. But I do know enough to know that when a tipping point is reached and it starts to affect the American economy some tough choices are going to have to be made from the bottom up.

      Ahh the difficulties of being a woman are indeed numerous. If you are sexually aggressive you are a slut. If you demand peace and do not act in the sexual manner expected by men you are frigid or a dyke. What is a woman to do? Well, the simple answer to that question is be your own person. I think conservatives and Progressives alike can agree that is the right path.

    And this is the problem that conservatives have. Morality, is an artifice. You do moral things and have moral values because others are watching. Ethics, my dear adversaries are the core of what you believe and how you act even when no one is watching. Morality, as dictated by conservatives demand people act a certain way in public; while it is known most of you have no personal ethics. This is a demand driven problem that causes conservatives to suffer humiliations when their lives and actions are exposed to sunlight time and time again.

      Tim the game is over as far as the Culture Wars go. If you want to govern, conservatives have a very simple choice. They can jettison the social issues and look to rebuilding America, creating jobs and simplifying the tax code. Those are all things that moderates want and if the far right can be convinced that those goals are in their best interest the nation can move forward. If social issues are going to remain the sharp end of the conservative ideological spear you are setting yourself up for failure time and time again. The demographics don’t lie; your side isn’t attracting minority, female or young tech savvy voters. The church isn’t the conservative powerbroker it once was. As a matter of fact it has been a liability in every election since 2004. All conservative ideas aren’t bad some are simply just archaic and discriminatory. Time has passed these ideas by and the far right simply will not stop clinging to them. Time wounds all heels though and this debate will end with a Progressive monolith in American government if conservatives don’t moderate.
