The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Obama’s One Fine Mess of Potage

In the Bible, Esau sold his birthright for a mess of potage — some red lentil soup, to be exact. Looking at the week’s events, it seems that this country has sold its glorious birthright of constitutional government by honest men and women for a mess of potage — a false promise of hope and change delivered by a glib huckster and his shady friends. The deceit and lawlessness of Obama and those around him and the consequences have never been clearer than they were this week.

Nothing shows better the unprincipled nature of the administration and the acquiescence of the media than the stories of Bowe Bergdahl, who this week was charged with desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, and Hillary Clinton’s destruction of her email server’s records. Both Obama and Clinton operate on the not unreasonable assumption that voters have memories no longer than a nanosecond and the complaisant press will be all too ready to help bury history

During the four days of hysteria, however, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York Mayor Bill De Blasio chose to refrain from certain commerce with Indiana–more specifically, they banned their employees from traveling to Indiana on New York’s state or city tab.

The shuddering fear that compelled Governor Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio to their desperate punitive measures was that the jilted party in any thwarted commercial transaction in Indiana would be a homosexual, who conceivably could have been forced to shop at more than one place for his flowers, cake or pizza.

New York mayor Bill De Blasio boasts that he honeymooned in Stalinist Cuba and calls for the lifting of all commercial sanctions against that homophobic military dictatorship. New York Governor Mario Cuomo also advocates an end to commercial sanctions against Stalinist Cuba and is headed there this month (on New York’s tab, obviously) to promote his state’s commerce with the homophobic military dictatorship.

‘If it comes to civil disobedience, so be it’ (Pat Buchanan on Religious Freedom) ^ | April 3, 2015 | Pat Buchanan

Conservative leader Pat Buchanan is urging Christians to fight the “LGBT fanatics” who are demanding they betray their faith, even if it means civil disobedience.

And the conservative grassroots is showing signs it is ready for a showdown, supporting a pizzeria targeted by left-wing activists with donations rapidly approaching $1 million.

In an exclusive interview with WND, Buchanan, the author of “Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?” and other bestsellers, spoke on the controversy over the Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Buchanan forcefully condemned defeatism among social conservatives and rejected retreat or even compromise. Instead, the one-time presidential contender and Reagan White House aide urged Christians to put the laws of God above the laws of man.

“This battle can be won, but it cannot be won if we do not stand our ground and fight against this moral onslaught from the left,” he said. “The hill to stand on and fight on is the God-given natural right and the constitutional principle that people of faith may choose not to associate with those whose actions are abhorrent and whose lifestyle is insulting and offensive to that faith.”

Buchanan dismissed arguments that “gay”-rights activists are simply asking for political freedom or the same rights as any other citizen.

“The LGBT militants are not asking to be left alone,” he said. “They are demanding that we accept the morality of homosexuality and same-sex marriages, and manifest that acceptance, under pain of law and sanctions, in our daily lives.” Buchanan added, “As the Romans demanded of the Christians, the LGBT fanatics want us to burn incense to their gods.

    ********* The answer is no.********

If it comes to civil disobedience, so be it.”
