Pataki is dropping out of the race for GOP Nomination.
My only thought here other than to make fun of the Fork is….
If you worked as hard at building a life as you did at making excuses every single one of you would be rich beyond your dreams.
To my fine compadres, Neocon01 and Tim, I’m going to take a short hiatus. It is Christmas, and I will be spending time with family and friends.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, and let us not forget the reason for the season…
On Christmas day 1776, George Washington and his army crossed an ice-swollen Delaware river in blinding snow and sleet, to compound matters, many of his men didn’t have warm clothing or shoes to wear, and thus had to walk barefoot through the snow.
Why did Washington and his men do this? Well, Liberal professors might tell you that George Washington and his men crossed the treacherous Delaware on that Christmas day to “murder Americans.” But is that really the truth? No, not quite. You see, George Washington and those men crossed that river so that we could be free people. Yes, Freedom! That was the whole point of it! And here we are today in our nice, cozy homes. Absolved from any and all allegiance to a tyrant!
The point of this bit of history is for you parents out there who have children who attend public schools. Make sure they know their history before you hear them parroting their liberal professors.
Agood read if you can find a little space of your time to do so. Very relevant to the times in which we live…
You know, I can’t help but write more about the issue of marriage. Marriage is under such an assault by social media, namely the Internet, that it’s hard not to look around, and take notice of the devastation that it’s causing. You see people that you’ve known for many years, and have been happily married for many years, and bam! Just like that, everything crashes, and you really feel bad for them, because it comes as a shock knowing their profession, and the kind of life that they lived. And it just breaks your heart.
The kind of theory that I have, that explains why many marriages fail, goes something like this. Do keep in mind though, that this is just my opinion, and is not necessarily the crux of the matter, entirely.
It can go both ways…
When a man is finally on his own, he gets married, and has children, he has to have a job to help support his family, and have nice things for his family. At this point in his life he becomes vulnerable to a woman outside of his marriage, because in today’s society, whether single or married, many women are looking to satisfy themselves through new experiences with other men outside of their marriage, or non-marital relationship. These women are the worldly women, and they are keeping there eyes on successful men, which appeal to them. See, there are the Virtuous women, and then there are those women who are the opposite of virtuous (take Pamela Anderson for example), a woman of vice, who has no self-control. As a Christian man, he must guard himself against such women, to keep himself from the sin of adultery. Because he hurts himself and his spouse when he does not stay committed to her. The only pure bed is the marriage bed.
Another scenario plays out with the wife. Wives must also guard themselves against men who want to entice them out of their marital sexual relations. There are men out there who are wealthy, well-to-do for themselves, who offer not only their bodies, but their wealth to unsuspecting women. Wives, you must guard yourselves against such men who are eager to pull you away, and defile you in their beds. You destroy your image, and you hurt your husband when you do not remain faithful to him.
These things come about because spouse, both men and women do not put on the whole armor of God, spoke about in the book of Ephesians, when the apostle Paul was a prisoner…
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
The problem, and there is the solution. For you ladies out there, there’s a good book you can read, it’s called ‘Passion & Purity’ – ‘Learning to bring your love life under Christ’s control’
I’m not a lady, but I have read the book, and I have to say it’s kind of sad in one way, because she describes her relationship with a man, and the many difficulties she went through to finally getting able to walk down the aisle. But, I think it will strengthen a woman’s resolve to staying committed to your husband. And the men to their wives, too.
I wrote this today, because of some friends from a long time ago. It’s not to say that adultery and marital problems are rare, no, they are very common problems in our society. I just want to bring to realization that the family is under attack, and we all need to come together to solve these problems, because family is the pillar by which nations are built upon.
