Primer on Marriage

Matthew 19:5

‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’

And the next verse…

Matthew 19:6

What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.

God intends only for a man and a woman to be united in a marriage contract. This is why He created the man, and the woman, so that each is compatible with the other, so they become one flesh. This is indelibly the only contract for marriage that exists. The purpose thereof, is in keeping with God’s plan of Creation. Scripture says…

Genesis 1:27-29

God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you

That is God’s plan, that there might be harmony upon the earth, that man might be a part of His creation process in bringing newcomers to the fold. Satan, however, has been trying his best to destroy God’s plan by enticing men and women into sinful practices with their bodies, adultery, fornication, and homosexuality. Infidelity is not to say that every person who participates in the sins of adultery, fornication, and homosexuality will stricken by a disease…diseases, broken relationships, hurt feelings, etc are all just a part of the natural consequences for sin. God forewarned man about the consequences for sin, not only did God say there would be consequences, but He mandated that death should come as a result of sin. Death came because all have sinned. Not only will man suffer but he will die, because he chose to disobey God. Not only that, but sin, if present in a person’s life will lead to the death of his spirit, an eternal suffering in separation from the presence of the Almighty God. So, in order to be a part of the kingdom of God, we must renounce sin, and live for Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:17

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

America is suffering today because of an abundance of sin, and lacking in spiritual food. The devil is having free reign of the hearts and minds of millions of teenagers and young adults alike, and even some of the mature, middle aged folks. If you thirst after things that lead to death, and you sow things that lead to death, then death you will reap. My mission is not to scare anyone, but I’m just here to tell you that there will be no extinguishing the fire that will consume every fiber of a person’s being who indulges in sin. None of this “stop, drop and roll,” jazz, no! God is to be feared, and God is to be obeyed! I’m not trying to hurt anyone! I’m not trying to offend anyone! No, I want to see people CHANGED! I am emulating to the best of my ability the change that I seek in the world! There is no fear or hatred, because these are unnatural to the man of God! Did you know that “Do not be afraid” is found 365 times in the Bible? Yes, that’s one reminder for every day of the year that God tells us to not be afraid. So why be afraid of what your “friends” think if you are a born-again servant of Jesus Christ? Why let the devil make you think that Christ is someone to be ashamed of? You hold the highest honor, you are a servant of the Most High, the King of kings, and Lord of lords, REDEEMED through His shed blood on the Cross at Calvary, and nothing in all of creation can separate you from His love for you!

You know, I want to be of encouragement to you today. We all have something that we’re going through in our life that begs the question of “why?” but I just want you to know, that there is something greater out there, something lasting, something steadfast, and will never let you down, and that something is Jesus Christ! Put your Trust in Him and He will never let you down!

Behind every good man is a woman……………With a Shotgun.

Naw. We have been together for 22 pretty darn good years. It helps that both of us are Christian and come from good Family upbringings.

I help her Dad get out of east germany. When there was still a east germany to get out of.
Her Dad was my best Friend. I had no idea that I would end up marring his Daughter.

Hopefully we can last for 22 more years. I should find out what my Opinion is by then.

        😛

Keeping a marriage alive? Wow. That is good one. Maybe Neo would be better at that one cuz he has twice as much experience as Kris and I do.

One of our “secrets” are we do everything as a couple (except shopping UGH!l lol ) I do not bowl, golf, party etc. with the “boys” and she doesnt either with the “girls”. ,we always go out together. That way the Princess can keep the choker chain tight LOL and I behave (sort of)

Really the Key is we have good friends who are nice people and even in todays day and age are church going Christians, who also are happily married.

    RIP Republican Party
    By Brian Joondeph
If there was any question about the relevance of the Republican Party, this week’s budget deal removes all doubt. The Republican Party might as well close up shop and merge with the Democrats. Not as a merger of equals, but more of a capitulation, a surrender, a sellout.
There is no need for two parties in Washington DC as only one party is relevant in terms of advancing an agenda. The irony is that the agenda driving party is in the minority and despite losing badly in two midterm elections, the Democrats are still running Congress.

Another 2000-plus page bill passed by Congress with little transparency or discussion. You mean ObamaCare? No Paul Ryan’s $1.1 trillion spending bill, his first major legislative “achievement” as House Speaker.
